Er. Kumar Gaurav is a dynamic professional. He Completed his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Thermal Engineering from LNCT, Bhopal. He completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.TECH) with first class and distinction. He has both teaching and industrial experience. He is heading the department since 2017, wherein he has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and organizational skills. As Head of the department, his focus is more on practical aspects of engineering education where students are exposed to training and project development in order to make them employable right from the day they step out of the college after their degrees. Apart from SBTE curriculum, he focuses more on empirical technicalities of the subject in order to bridge the gap between industrial requirement and board curriculum. He stresses a lot on making the students technically sound and upgraded.

Mechanical engineering is a diverse branch of engineering which deals with design and building everything from small individual parts and accessories to its width and is derived from the need (for example, sensors and micro-level inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems (for example, space vehicle and machine tools).Mechanical engineering branch gives enormous ideas to the market about the products and their working. It provides special skills and knowledge to a person who will certainly become a complete mechanical engineer in order to accomplish the ever changing demands of this developing world.

About Department
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is functioning since the inception of the institute and is imparting quality education at diploma level in Mechanical Engineering with the intake of 120 Students. The Department from the day of its inception has been taking long strides in the field of Latest Technology. The Department houses a full range of state-of-theart Laboratories with the equipments conforming to the latest technology. Apart from the laboratories, the Department also owns a complete Central Workshop having efficient and competent Technical Assistants under the leadership of an able workshop Superintendent and Head of Department. The Department has well Qualified, Dedicated & Enthusiastic Faculties as well as Technical Assistants. The Department organizes various numbers of Workshops, Seminars and Industrial Visit every year. The Department always strives for the excellence and leaves no stones unturned to inculcate the culture of endless quest of Learning and Skill Enhancement. This course is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Govt. of Bihar and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
